Another Quick Over Of News
Hello Fellow Cricket Pop People!
Hello Everyone - One Half Of The Duo Here!
Good evening to you all.
Mr. Duckworth here (Lewis working) on behalf of ‘The Duckworth Lewis Method’ welcoming you to our home ground. We’ve been playing away from home (MySpace) for a while now, and it’s been a joy to find out your views and see how lovingly and loyally you’ve taken to our ‘Cricket Pop’ sound, but we’d love you all to drop by here from time to time (or more frequently?)
Actually, pop in as often as you’d like, we won’t mind… we have sandwiches and beer courtesy of Moderator Hollingsworth QC
We hope to cram the boundaries of the site with as much one-off exclusive material as we can, but please be patient in these formative days as we’re still nailing up oak panelling and painting the wainscoting as I type!! (Mmmm… lovely smell of emulsion and creosote)
So sit back, pour a smooth glass of Pimms and let the day float by whilst watching myself and Lewis sweat it out in the middle for your pleasure!
(No innuendo-esque puns allowed…unless they’re good and make us laugh).
Duckworth out - Lewis sends his love…
xx

Might I suggest an August trip to Edinburgh? There’s always a cricket game on the Meadows and local hostelries are happy to provide jugs of fine ale or Pimms to see spectators through a sunny afternoon.

Gentlemen, gentlemen,
I write some pieces, reviews, previews etc for a relatively new and definitely fresh pop culture website called Culch.ie.
I’ve heard a couple of tracks from your forthcoming release The Duckworth Lewis Method and love the wit and storytelling at play. Particularly Jiggery Pokery. A well told narrative, a great concept.
Anyway I’d love to interview you guys and post a piece on our site in time for the release.
So what say you gents?
Cheers,
NaRocRoc

A spiffing effort!
Just heard 3 of the songs when you were on Radclffe and Macconie’s show.
I hate cricket, but the songs filled me with the sudden urge to wear white pants and bowl a maiden over.
Instead I made a cup of tea and listened to my back catalogue of Divine Comedy.
Smashing.
PS can’t WAIT for the album.
Thanks guys

Good Afternoon Messrs Duckwoth and Lewis,
Well its night but afternoon sounds more crickety(cricketly?cricketish?).
I am a member of The Theatrical Cavaliers Cricket Club, the cricket club for actors and associated professionals, playing out of Merrion Cricket Club, Angelsy Rd in Leafy Dublin 4.I have been given permission by our club captain to approch you gentlemen with an open invitation to play for us.
We play 20-20 taverners rules matches on many weekday Summer eves. The tone of these games is friendly and lighthearted, for the love of cricket.
I love your album and attitude. e mail me at above address for fixtures list etc.
