Vintage Cricket Match

Sunday May 23rd. Twenty two blokes of all shapes and sizes and undeterminable age, trying their damnest to look like Ducky and Lewis will line up for a confrontation of immense proportions on the green swathes of Terenure College. The Walnut Taverners are hosting Arthur’s Knights in a Vintage Cricket Match that is celebrating 150 years of Bat and Ball in the School. Fresh Beards and Creaky Limbs ( the 2 captains! ) will be on display in what will be a very colorful and amusing affair. Two of Ireland’s Cricketing Heroes Trent Johnston and Kevin O’Brien will take part in a cricket Skills workshop during the interval and this event is just part of a large Summer Garden Party taking place on that day to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the school.
Mason may not be on the boundary but we do have a wonderful large Walnut Tree that provides the necessary shade when the sun shines and hopefully, if Mason is absent the sun and the spectators will turn up!

Thanks Holly.

Some of us Walnuts feel like we have been there since the 1860’s and we have attire to prove it!
Keep up the great work with your wonderful website and the Kindest of Regards to the Talented Mr Duckworth Esq. and Mr Lewis Esq.
